Hi neighbors, after waiting almost 2 years, we will be revealing the results of the SAD Roads findings on Wednesday, April 10th at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be taking place at the Township Auditorium in Township Hall, 4200 Telegraph Road. Staff from the Township, including Township Supervisor Leo Savoie will be there to discuss the petition, next steps, as well as the Township Structural Deficit.
Hope to see you there!
We have recently received some reports of mailbox tampering. Meaning that someone is going into people’s mailboxes and taking their information, including financial information. For example, a neighborhood resident put outgoing mail in her box for pick up, and thieves got her banking information, created phony checks and attempted to cash them at the bank they were written on. The first bank refused to process the check, but the second bank cashed the check. Police reports have been filed.
Please be mindful and careful of what you are putting in your mailbox. If you believe someone has tampered with your mail, call the police immediately.
Tomorrow is the Halloween Parade! 10:30 a.m. at the corner of Cathedral and Spruce. Hope to see you there!
Also, from the Township:
The Michigan Department of Transportation announced it is planning on milling the Telegraph Road/Maple Road intersection on Saturday and paving it on Sunday.
There will be multiple lane closures through the intersection for this work in both the eastbound/westbound lanes of Maple Road and the northbound/southbound lanes of Telegraph Road to complete this stage of the work.
Drivers should expect delays and may want to plan alternate routes to avoid the area.
Hope to see you tomorrow, Tuesday, October 23rd, at 7:30 p.m. at the Maple Theater for our Annual Meeting!
Brenda Schlutow from Bloomfield Township will be answering any questions regarding ordinances. We’ll also have an update on the roads and on the Booth School project.
